Experience

Home Care Plus is a family run domiciliary care agency that was formed in April 2014. Despite this being a new company the experience that the management team has is vast and spans over 15 years in the private care sector. We were once one of the biggest domiciliary care agencies in Newcastle upon Tyne, but also worked with a number of neighbouring authorities, successfully delivering around 12,000 hours of care across the North East, with an excellent reputation. We ceased operating in 2011 to follow a different venture which led us to open a Nursing home for Adults with Complex health needs, which has only further expanded our knowledge in the more clinical specialist aspects of care needs that people need to be able to remain at home, to prevent them needing to be admitted to a residential setting. Hence the reason for us realising that having a domiciliary care company that is led by both a Qualified Nurse and a Qualified Social worker can only enhance the quality of care that is delivered and allow for more complex tasks to be carried out such as PEG feeding, Stoma Care, Pressure relieving Care, Palliative care and much more - Please click on services we provide

How to complain

Whilst we have years of experience in delivering generalist and specialist care to a very high standard, we accept also that at times we do not always get things right. We like to learn from mistakes and we therefore need to ensure that know how to raise a complaint, should you feel the need to do so. There should be a complaints procedure placed within the file in your home which will explain things to you, however, if you are unable to locate this then your first port of call should be to contact the coordinator on 0191 2169090. If you feel that you are unable to discuss this with them or feel that the complaint has not been dealt with satisfactorily then you should contact the Registered Manager. There is a dedicated complaints e mail address that you can use also complaints@homecareplus.co.uk. You can also make complaints to the local commissioning team, please telephone the main office and they will be able to assist you with the number.

Our Staff

Whilst many other agencies pay all of their staff minimum wage only, we believe that investing in our staff means that, in turn, they will go out to work delivering high quality care, feeling appreciated and supported by their employers. Which we believe can only be beneficial for you. We provide specialist training, Induction periods, constant support, supervision and appraisals to our staff. We constantly check, monitor and train our staff to ensure the highest possible standards are achieved and maintained. Our staff are our greatest asset and we believe in investing in them.

  • Supervision, monitoring and evaluation of the care plan at monthly intervals
